Used Guitars For Sale- 1993 Martin J40-12 String

Martin J40-12

Note: This one is sold, but I am leaving the page up as a reference to info on this great model of guitar.

If you like 12 string guitars, you will absolutely adore this one.  It is the top of the line as far as 12 strings go.  The 6 string version (the only one available today) retails for about $4500.  This is a full size, jumbo guitar with the famous Martin sound and quality.  Rosewood back and sides and a Sitka Spruce top create a full, rich tone that will make it hard to put this guitar down.

This is the real deal, a genuine Martin with all the trimmings.  Fully bound, ebony fingerboard, hexagon mother-of-pearl fret markers and gold hardware.   It also features a professionally installed Thinline pickup if you want to plug in.  Plugged or unplugged, it sounds and looks great.

This guitar is in great shape and has been stored in it’s case for most of it’s life.  I am the second owner and have only played it occasionally.  The soundboard does have that typical “12 string bump”.  What that means is you can see a slight upward bow in the soundboard just below the bridge.  It has been there as long as I can remember and does not seem cause any problems.  The guitar stays in tune and plays great.

  1. Brian Nelson says:

How much? Do you have any video or quality recordings of this guitar?

    • Bryan says:

I have it listed locally for $1599, but I will entertain all serious offers. I don’t have any recordings but i will try to make one. I can’t promise much in the way of quality yet, I have a pretty ghetto recording set up right now.

Just wondering if guitar was still availible?
    Thanks,
